Pictured above is Monica Frey 4-H adult volunteer, Dusty Norris, Safe Place Shelter Manager and several of the Perry County Toad Suck 4-H Club members. During their 2017 Community Service Project they raised $605 to be donated to The Safe Place domestic violence shelter. The Club is very concerned as 1 in 15 children are exposed to intimate partner violence each year and 90% of those children are eyewitnesses to domestic violence. Understanding the need for awareness and education these club members raised these funds to support The Safe Place which serves adult and child victims, helping them to escape violence.
