“SET UP AND FOLLOW UP”
The Safe Place has a project called “Set Up and Follow Up.” When a sheltered victim has completed our program and is ready to move from the shelter, upon obtaining a new residence, we also assist in furnishing the home. By relieving the financial stress of the initial household set up, fewer victims are returning to their initial abuser or hurrying into a new abusive relationship.
The follow-up portion of the project can continue for as long as the victim wishes.
